Cayenne Pepper Sore Throat Remedies

With colds and flus so prevalent, pharmaceutical companies make tons of money every year on cold remedies, as well as sore throat remedies. However, something that many people have started trying when it’s needed is cayenne pepper for sore throat. Usually, this is made in tea form but there’s also a rather tasty concoction that works even better. People that have tried it say that it’s 100 percent effective. The name of this wonder remedy is Tomato Tea, or Cayenne Pepper Tea.

The cayenne pepper does make your lips a bit numb for a while, and it may sting your mouth a bit. However, the numbness and stinging do go away along with the sore throat. It’s more of a soup than a tea, and can speed up your recovery from any type of respiratory virus. This is why so many people use cayenne pepper for colds and flu treatment. It can be quite soothing and some people even find it delicious! You should try it for yourself the next time you have a sore throat:

Cayenne Pepper Tomato Tea Sore Throat Cure

You will need:
• 1 can of tomato sauce, tomato juice, or tomato soup, your choice
• 1 can of water
• 2 finely minced large garlic cloves
• 1 teaspoon of ground cayenne pepper
• Splash of fresh lemon juice, if desired

Directions:
Put all ingredients into a saucepan. Heat on medium until the soup is hot but at a drinkable temperature. That’s all there is to it.
You can still make a gargle version of this if all you have is cayenne pepper. Use 1 cup of water and 1 teaspoon of cayenne pepper. Stir the water so that the pepper stays on top of it as you gargle a few times. This isn’t as tasty or relaxing as the tea but is highly effective in taking care of your sore throat.

Another cayenne pepper sore throat remedy is in the form of a sweetened tea. For those people that have tried it, they highly recommend it, some even calling it a miracle cure. Following is how to make it:

Cayenne Pepper Sore Throat Tea

You will need:
• A cup
• Hot Water
• Cayenne Pepper
• Grade B Maple Syrup
• Half of a fresh Lemon

Directions:
Boil the water like you would for a cup of tea. Take the lemon and cut it in half. Squeeze the lemon juice into the cup of water. Add whatever amount of cayenne pepper that works for you. Remember that it will be hot so you want to be sure not to put in more than you can handle. Stir in enough of the Grade By Maple Syrup to sweeten it to your liking. Relax and drink the tea.

You should be feeling better in no time with any of these remedies. Don’t be afraid to experiment with the cayenne. You just may come up with your very own sore throat remedy.
